Interstate crash leaves one female dead, Opelika police confirm
A late-night crash on Interstate 85 South has left one person dead and prompted an investigation by the Opelika Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit.
On Monday, August 12, at approximately 11:39 p.m., Opelika Police responded to reports of a multi-vehicle collision with injuries near exit 57 on I-85 South. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered two passenger vehicles and a semi truck involved in the crash.
