Woman struck, killed by pickup truck on Troup County interstate
An unidentified woman has been pronounced deceased after being struck by a vehicle along a busy Troup County interstate.
The collision occurred around 10:10 P.M. on Labor Day on Interstate 85 Northbound at Mile Marker 13, near Whitesville Road.
Georgia State Patrol states the female pedestrian was was standing near the center line in the right lane when the Ford F-250’s front left bumper struck her causing fatal injuries.
The investigation into the deadly crash remains ongoing.
