Serious crash involving law enforcement official reported overnight in Russell County
CNAW2News is working to gather additional details following a serious motor vehicle accident early Sunday morning.
The collision occurred in the 4100 block of U.S. Highway 80 on Sunday, September 7, 2025. We are told a Russell County Sheriff’s Office cruiser was involved in the wreck.
We are told multiple injuries were reported from the collision. Lee County Sheriff’s Office, CARE Ambulance, Phenix City Police Department, along with volunteer fire department personnel were seen on scene.
U.S. Highway 80 has been reopened. This is a developing story.
