Woman dies after overnight highway crash in Columbus
A Columbus woman died overnight following a highway crash.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred in the westbound lanes of JR Allen Parkway between Moon and Schomburg road exits around midnight on Monday, September 22, 2025.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said the coroner’s office pronounced 42-year-old Candace Rush deceased on the scene at 12:45 A.M.
All east and west lanes of the highway were closed overnight. The Columbus Police Department’s Motor Squad remains investigating the collision.
