Downtown LaGrange issued a statement Tuesday after two scarecrows were abducted Sunday morning and later returned to their rightful spots.
The scarecrows were part of the 2025 Scarecrow Contest, in which citizens vote on social media for their favorite among 35 scarecrows that were decorated and displayed around downtown LaGrange.

“We’d like to remind everyone that our local business owners and community members put great care, creativity, and personal funds into designing these displays,” Downtown LaGrange said in a statement. “Let’s all do our part to respect and protect the decorations that bring so much joy to our downtown during the holiday season!”
