Arrest made in 2021 Troup County murder
Four years later, investigators have made an arrest in connection to a Troup County murder.
Alan Dale Huguley Sr. was murdered on April 18, 2021, on Briley Road in Troup County,
Investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office arrested a person in connection, identified as Teresa Ann Williams, on October 14, 2025, and charged her with murder.
Williams is currently in the Troup County Jail.
“The specific details of Teresa Williams’ involvement in the murder are not being released as this is still an active investigation,” investigators said.
Investigators said this case is part of the Troup County Sheriff’s Office continuing effort to review Cold Cases and bring closure to the victims and their families.
