Man found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in Phenix City
Investigators have begun a probe into an apparent deadly shooting.
The investigation is taking place after a male subject was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds on Cricket Drive in Phenix City on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. identified the man as Joseph Tassoni, 42. Tassoni was pronounced dead on scene at 4:37 P.M.
His body will be sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science in Montgomery for an autopsy.
The investigation by police and the coroner’s office remains ongoing.
