13-year-old boy shot, killed in Barbour Co.; 17-year-old charged
A teenager has died and another is in jail following a deadly shooting in Barbour County.
The incident occurred on Friday, December 19, 2025, in the 40 block of Westfield Court in Clayton, which is located within Barbour County.
A 13-year-old juvenile was found deceased after being shot. The suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile, was identified, arrested and charged with Capital Murder. The 17-year-old was then placed in the Barbour County Jail.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the deadly shooting.
