Phenix City police clarifies inaccuracies reported in media coverage of missing barber
It has been two months since a Phenix City barber vanished, and Phenix City police say they are still investigating despite “inaccuracies in media coverage.”
Dennis Hall, 63, was first reported missing on November 11, 2025, after vanishing on November 7, 2025. Hall was last seen on camera walking along the Columbus Riverwalk near the Columbus Convention and Trade Center.
His family says his vehicle was left locked at Central Barbershop on 14th Street, which he owns.
Police said Hall’s information was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database as a missing person and an investigation into his whereabouts immediately began.
“This investigation remains active and ongoing with the Phenix City Police Department and will continue until Mr. Hall is located,” police said. “At no time has this case been classified as closed or inactive by the Phenix City Police Department.”
The Russell County Sheriff’s Office agreed to open a joint investigation of the case at the request of Hall’s family, according to police.
Phenix City Police Department said they will work “closely with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office to develop and follow up on any leads that may become available.”
Anyone with information regarding Dennis Hall or this investigation is encouraged to contact the Phenix City Police Department’s Investigations Division at 334-448-2839 or the Russell County Sheriff’s Office at 334-298-6535.
