Man arrested on multiple counts of possession of child pornography
A Lee County man is in jail Tuesday facing multiple charges in a child sex crime investigation.
24-year-old Jason Conway Scott was booked into jail on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026 on ten counts of possession of child pornography. He was given a bond of $15,000 per charge, totaling $150,000.
Scott was arrested by Opelika police following a tip by National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Internet Crimes Against Children regarding a 24-year-old Opelika resident purchasing child pornography online.
Despite the bond amount, Scott is reportedly not eligible for bond payment at the Lee County Jail.
The details surrounding the case have not been released by police.
