Man arrested in Columbus for December 2022 murder in Valley, Ala.
Valley police said Monday afternoon a suspect wanted in connection to a December 2022 murder was arrested in Columbus.
Dalton Alexander Stringfellow was killed back on December 4, 2022, on County Road 196 located in Valley, AL.
59-year-old Lenzy Felix Mayhand was arrested on April 26, 2023, by Columbus Police Department on an outstanding warrant for Murder through Valley Police Department. Two days later, on April 28, 2023, Mayhand was extradited to Chambers County, Alabama, and is currently being held at the Chambers County Detention Facility awaiting a bond hearing.
“A warrant was obtained for his arrest after he was developed as a suspect, and it was determined that Mayhand could possibly be in the Columbus, GA area,” police said. “Columbus Police Department was notified of his potential whereabouts and were able to locate Mayhand and take him into custody.”
