Harris County man killed in motorcycle crash on River Rd.
Columbus police are investigating a deadly crash Saturday night.
The crash occurred at the intersection of River Road at Double Churches Road around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 7, 2026. The crash involved a motorcycle and a truck.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan says the motorcyclist, 31-year-old Brantley Eli Satterfield, was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown. Satterfield was pronounced dead at 8:29 p.m.
Satterfield’s family has been notified. River Road was shut down in between Willet Drive and Britton Drive, along with Double Churches Road in between River Road and Britton Drive while officials worked the scene.
The Columbus Police Department’s Motor Squad is investigating the crash.
