Woman shot in Lanett Sunday night
Lanett police are investigating after a woman was found shot Sunday night.
The shooting occurred in the 1100 block of Cherry Drive around 8:58 p.m. eastern time on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
The shooting left an adult female injured. The female was transported to a local trauma hospital for treatment. Her current condition is not being released at this time.
“The scene has been secured,” police said. The incident remains under active investigation by the Lanett Police Department.
“The Lanett Police Department remains committed to protecting the citizens of Lanett,” police said.
