ALEA investigating recent deadly crash in Chambers County involving law enforcement: sheriff
CNAW2News.com is working to learn information surrounding a deadly crash in Chambers County.
The crash reportedly occurred at the intersection of County Road 186 (FOP Road) and 20th Street SW in the Huguley community of the county during the evening hours of March 14, 2026.
Chambers County Sheriff Jeff Nelson said “due to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency working this crash it would be inappropriate for me to comment on this investigation.”
Nelson did confirm two off-duty officers including one from the Sheriff’s Office was involved in the crash.
The driver of another vehicle involved was pronounced deceased. We are told the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the collision.
