UPDATE: Suspect in Phenix City chase booked into jail
CNAW2News.com has learned the suspect in a Phenix City chase was booked into jail.

Marques Dillard, 27, was booked into the Russell County Jail on March 26, 2026, on several charges.
Dillard led Phenix City police on a high speed chase in a white Mercedes on Highway 280, 43rd Avenue and Auburn Road on March 25, 2026.
The chase came to a screeching halt when the Mercedes crashed into a small sedan at the intersection of Auburn Road and Lee Road 240.
Dillard was taken into police custody at the scene and was taken to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. Dillard is facing two counts of attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, one count of reckless endangerment and three counts of obstruction-failure to appear/comply/pay.
Dillard is expected to face additional charges.
