Mobley got promoted to corporal two months ago.
CNAW2News.com reached out to the university for a statement. The university said in a statement they were aware of “an incident involving one of our officers while he was off duty yesterday.”
“We cannot comment on a Columbus Police Department investigation, or on personnel matter beyond the fact that he has been placed on administrative leave,” a university spokesman said.
CNAW2News.com has filed an open records request for information surrounding the case. A mugshot has not yet been uploaded to the jail website.
This is a developing story.
