East Alabama Health to operate and manage Bullock County Rural Emergency Hospital
East Alabama Health announced Tuesday that it will immediately assume management and operations of Bullock County Rural Emergency Hospital, ensuring continued access to emergency and outpatient health care services for residents in Bullock County.
The move comes after the departure of the hospital’s previous operator. At the request of the Bullock County Health Care Authority, East Alabama Health stepped in to provide operational stability and maintain uninterrupted care for patients.
“Access to timely, high-quality health care is vital for every community, particularly in rural areas,” said Laura Grill, president and CEO of East Alabama Health. “We are honored to partner with the Bullock County Health Care Authority to support their steadfast commitment to the citizens of Bullock County.”
East Alabama Health officials said patients can expect continued access to emergency services and coordinated care while the organization works with local leaders to strengthen the hospital’s long-term sustainability.
“This partnership reflects our shared dedication to preserving health care access for our community,” said William Hodge, chair of the Bullock County Health Care Authority.
Officials said East Alabama Health and the Health Care Authority will continue working together to stabilize operations and enhance health care services for Bullock County residents.
