Pedestrian struck, killed on Columbus street identified
The Muscogee County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a man struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night.
The crash occurred on Cusseta Road between 25th Avenue and 27th Avenue in the city’s south end. CNAW2News first received word of the incident around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan says 62-year-old Donald Marshall was pronounced dead from blunt force trauma.
A white SUV parked along Cusseta Road with its’ hazard lights on was seen being photographed by investigators.
The Columbus Police Department’s Motor Squad remains investigating.
