Deadly single-vehicle crash under investigation on JR Allen Parkway
Columbus Police are investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash Friday morning on JR Allen Parkway.
According to the Columbus Police Department, officers responded to the crash around 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, on JR Allen Parkway westbound near River Road.
Police confirmed the crash was fatal. No additional information about the victim or circumstances surrounding the crash has been released.
The department’s Motor Squad is investigating the crash, and traffic in the area is expected to be impacted while the investigation continues.
Motorists are urged to use an alternate route and allow extra time for their morning commute.
