Columbus mother, detectives request public’s assistance in 2020 homicide
A Columbus mother, along with homicide detectives, are pleading for information in the murder of 31-year-old Audrianna Nobles.
Nobles was shot and killed at the intersection of Briarwood and Fern St in midtown Columbus on October 14, 2020, nearly 12 hours after a phone call with her mother, Paula Johnson, in which Johnson’s last words to Nobles were “I love you.” Johnson says she was coming to Columbus to pick her daughter up to come home and leave Columbus but October 15, 2020, turned into a nightmare when she found out her daughter had been killed.
Since that day, Johnson has been pleading for anyone with any information regarding the murder of Nobles to come forward. Homicide detectives tell us at this time there are no leads, but just like Johnson, detectives are also requesting the public’s assistance in solving the homicide. When asked what she wanted to tell anyone who is withholding information, Johnson replied, “I’m trying to speak to someone’s soul because I know in my heart that someone saw what happened and don’t want to get involved but I’m pleading, just imagine if this was your child.”
“I know if this was your child, you would want someone to help bring the murderer to justice.”
Johnson believes she was not murdered by a stranger. “I feel very deeply that she was murdered by someone she trusted to get that close to her when she was walking in the early morning hours on October 14, 2020,” Johnson said. “My daughter loved people. She was a beautiful spirit. She loved life so why did you (murderer) take her life?”
Johnson says a part of her soul died on October 14, 2020, and her life has changed forever. If you know anything regarding this case, please contact Cpl. Roy Green at (706) 225-4261 or [email protected].
