Public Safety Alert canceled after armed and dangerous suspect taken into custody in Lee County
UPDATE 1 PM CST: Michael Shane Bodine Green has been taken into custody.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Original Story: A Public Safety Alert has been issued for an armed and dangerous subject in Smiths Station area of Lee County.
The alert states the subject, identified as Michael Shane Bodine Green, was last seen in the area of 115 Lee Road 399. He is described as a white male wearing no shirt, but is wearing blue Jeans with Camo Body Armor.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones tells me Green threatened his family with a firearm and reportedly fled into a wooded area to avoid responding deputies. A K9 has been deployed in an ongoing search of the area near Lee Road 399.
Earlier this year in January, Green was involved in an incident when an overdose was reported at the same address on Lee Road 399. Green was transported by deputies to the jail for an attempted murder warrant when a deputy was exposed to fentanyl. Nearly a week ago, on May 16th, Green was booked again in the Lee County Jail on a resisting arrest charge.
He is NOT to be approached, the alert says.
If you have any information, call 911 immediately.
