UPDATE: Coroner releases identity of woman struck and killed by vehicle in Columbus
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan has announced the identity of a woman struck and killed by a vehicle late Sunday night.
76-year-old Arrie Mae Roberts was pronounced dead on scene at 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026.
Roberts stepped off the curb and was struck by the vehicle near the intersection of Veterans Parkway and 18th Street.
Her family has been notified.
No charges are pending at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
