Two railroad crossings to close in Columbus for track maintenance
Two railroad crossings in Columbus will temporarily close next week as Norfolk Southern conducts track maintenance, according to notices released by the City of Columbus on Wednesday, October 21.
The railroad crossing on Double Churches Road is scheduled to close on Tuesday, October 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The following day, Wednesday, October 28, the railroad crossing on Old Cusseta Road will close during the same hours.
Motorists are encouraged to follow the signed detours and proceed with caution while the crossings are closed.
The temporary closures are necessary to allow Norfolk Southern to complete track maintenance at both locations.
