Brief pursuit ends in crash on Lawyers Lane at Marion Street in Columbus
A brief pursuit ended in a serious motor vehicle collision in midtown Columbus.
The pursuit began when Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office deputies were trying to stop a vehicle from reckless driving. During the pursuit, a crash ended, with one vehicle overturning near the intersection of Lawyers Lane at Marion Street.
“The female suspect is in custody,” Sheriff Greg Countryman says. “She was in possession of a stolen handgun, and drugs, and also had several outstanding felony warrants.”
Multiple injuries were reported. Deputies have established a crime scene. This is a developing story.
