Columbus man arrested in late May fatal crash, jail records confirm
A Columbus man is facing charges in connection to a deadly crash in late May, jail records confirm.
Columbus first responders were dispatched to the serious motor vehicle collision on Harbin Street at Hunt Avenue on May 31, 2023. One man, later identified as 67-year-old Don Samuel, was pronounced dead on scene by Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Ben Saxon.
Motor Squad investigators began investigating the crash and on July 13, 2023, investigators arrested Keshawn Hearn on the following charges: homicide by vehicle 2nd degree, failure to obey stop sign, and speeding.
Jail records confirmed the charges are connected to the date of the fatal crash.
