Coroner releases identity of man shot, killed on Buena Vista Road in Columbus
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan has released the identity of the man who was shot and killed on Buena Vista Road on July 15th.
The shooting occurred in the early morning hours of July 15th in the 4800 block of Buena Vista Road. Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the case. Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Dustin Harrelson pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The victim was taken to Decatur for an autopsy. Today, July 20, 2023, Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the victim as 43-year-old Jimmy Hearns.
No suspects have been arrested at this time. This is a developing story.
