Search warrant executed at Lee County home overnight, sheriff confirms
Lee County investigators executed a search warrant at a home during the late evening hours of Saturday, July 22, 2023.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones says deputies received reports yesterday of vehicles being broken into with thefts including firearms.
As the investigation continued, a suspect was developed and search warrant was executed at residence near the intersection of Lee Road 201 and Lee Road 2014. “Lee County Tactical Unit was involved in the interest of deputies and community regarding stolen weapons and criminal history of suspect,” Sheriff Jay Jones added. “No one in custody – yet.”
No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained. This is a developing story.
