Investigation underway after human remains discovered off of Lee Road 170 in Salem, sheriff says
Lee County investigators are currently on scene of the discovery of human remains Sunday.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones says deputies are at the scene off of Lee Road 170 near Lee Road 725 where what appears to be human remains have been discovered.
“The remains are in advanced state of decomposition,” Sheriff Jay Jones added. “Efforts are focused on collecting evidence and work to establish identity.”
