Man severely injured after electrocution incident at industrial building in Columbus
A Columbus man is severely injured after being electrocuted today at an industrial building.
The incident occurred at Aludyne on Northside Industrial Boulevard.
“The man was working on an elevated platform in close proximity to high voltage lines when the man came in contact with the electrical lines or devices and suffered severe 2nd and 3rd degree burns,” Columbus Fire and EMS Marshal John Shull said.
The man was located on a dangerous elevated area which led to the fire department deploying a high angle rescue team.
“The team treated the patient while securing him onto a stokes basket and transported him to the emergency department,” Shull added. “We believe he will be transported to a regional burn center for his wounds.”
Here is the man’s GoFundMe. This is a developing story.
