Multiple Columbus schools placed on “secure your perimeter” after “suspected threat”
Multiple Columbus schools, including one elementary schools and two high schools, were taking precautionary measures Tuesday afternoon.
Clubview Elementary School, Columbus High School, and Hardaway High School were placed on secure your perimeter after a “suspected threat” was in the area. A text message from Hardaway High School administrators stated that a subject was eluding law enforcement and the district was taking precautions, while an e-mail from Columbus High School admins said there was a suspected threat.
The MCSD police and CPD are working together and have secured the perimeter of all three schools temporarily.
There is no immediate threat to the safety and welfare of students and staff at any of the schools. This remains a developing story.
