Unintentional shooting occurs inside Rothschild Learning Academy on Thursday
Muscogee County School District officials are investigating an unintentional shooting incident which occurred Thursday afternoon at a school.
The incident occurred at Rothschild Learning Academy on Hunt Avenue on September 28, 2023. School police responded to the school, along with EMS.
EMS transported the student, who was suffering from a gunshot wound, to a nearby hospital. Officials say the shooting was unintentional and isolated. The school district says the incident remains under investigation, and no further updates have been released. This is a developing story.
