Valley man killed after being struck by commercial vehicle on I-85 in Auburn, coroner confirms
A Wednesday evening crash on Auburn’s interstate 85 has left one man dead.
The crash occurred on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, between a commercial vehicle versus a pedestrian on Interstate 85 near mile marker 53.
Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton says the pedestrian, identified as 26-year-old Barry McCard, of Valley, AL, was pronounced dead on scene at 6:23 P.M. central standard time.
