Deputies secured the vehicle and Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division were notified and responded to the hospital.
Investigators noticed blood in the front passenger seat and obvious bullet holes in the front window and the passenger seat.
Investigators spoke with an adult female who was identified as the driver of the vehicle and an adult male, JonThomas Cloud, 29 years of age, of Columbus who was identified as a rear seat passenger of the car.
“Investigators have determined at this time that the female and Cloud traveled to Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport to pick up an adult male identified as Andrew Stankiewicz, 71 years of age, of Texas, who is the husband of the female,” authorities added.
At some point during their ride to Columbus on Interstate 85, Cloud shot Stankiewicz in the back of his head. The driver then proceeded to West Georgia Medical and on their arrival 911 was notified.
