Lee County deputies investigating after man suffers gunshot wound in incident on Lee Road 240 at Lee Road 238
Lee County deputies are investigating a Thursday evening shooting on busy Lee Road 240.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones says the sheriff’s office responded to a report of a drive by shooting on Lee Road 240 at Lee Road 238.
An adult male was transported from the scene due to suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.
“Investigators have recovered a firearm believed to be involved and evidence indicates it may be a self-inflicted gunshot and not a drive by incident,” Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones added. Lee Road 240 has been shut down as the investigation continues.
