MCSO Investigator arrested on child pornography charges in Russell County
A Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office investigator is behind bars this weekend facing charges in connection to child pornography charges.
Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Investigator, Corey Joseph Brand, had been arrested in Russell County for one count of obscenity-production of pornography with minors , one count of sex offense-possession with intent to disseminate child pornography, and one count of obscenity-dissemination/display of child pornography, according to jail records and Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman.
Records suggests Brand was booked into jail at 4 A.M. on Saturday, December 9, 2023.
“This type of criminal behavior is absolutely unacceptable. We will continue to work in collaboration with our federal and local partners on this case,” Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman said. “This is still an ongoing investigation that may result in more criminal charges.”
We have sent a media request to Phenix City Police Department for more information, but have not heard back. This remains a developing story.
