Tuskegee man arrested after Auburn interstate shooting
A Tuskegee man is facing charges in connection to a shooting on I-85 in Auburn, police say.
The arrest stems from the Opelika Police Department responding to a shooting into an occupied vehicle call on December 28. Officers met with a victim who reported that a suspect shot the victim’s vehicle while driving a vehicle behind the victim, as both were traveling on I-85.
OPD officers located the suspect near the 1100 block of Columbus Parkway. During the investigation, it was determined that the crime occurred near mile marker 56, which is in the jurisdiction of the Auburn Police Department.
Auburn Police Department officers responded, and after further investigation, Isaiah Donta Rose, age 24, from Tuskegee, AL was arrested on a felony warrant charging him with shooting into an occupied vehicle. Rose was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on an $50,000 bond.
