Crash reported on Hwy. 280 at Lee Road 250 in Lee County
Lee County first responders are on the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 280.
The collision occurred between a vehicle and an 18-wheeler on Highway 280 near Lee Road 250. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, EAMC ETS, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and Smiths Station Fire and Rescue are on the scene.
Both westbound lanes are blocked. At least one person was injured and transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. Drivers are asked to avoid the area til further notice. This remains a developing story.
