16-year-old killed in crash on Amber Drive in east Columbus
A 16-year-old has died after a motor vehicle crash overnight in east Columbus.
Officials responded to the scene after a stolen vehicle crashed into a tree at 1545 Amber Drive near Susan Lane around 1:30 A.M. on January 28, 2024. Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan says 16-year-old Dayshaun Sampson was pronounced dead on scene at 1:45 A.M. His mother has been notified.
Columbus Police Department’s Motor Squad is leading the investigation into the crash.
