2-year-old girl found dead in LaGrange apartment complex swimming pool
LaGrange police say they found a two year old deceased in a swimming pool at Cameron Crossing Apartment Complex.
They found the toddler after fire and police personnel responded to a report of a missing child. Officers were able to determine that a two and four year old had exited their apartment without an adult’s knowledge. The four year old child was located by a resident in the parking lot but the two year old had apparently gotten separated from her sibling.
An immediate search began from authorities to family to residents. During the search, the toddler was found in the pool by fire and police personnel. The toddler was transported to Well Star West Georgia where she was later pronounced deceased.
“The case remains active and anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to contact the LaGrange Police Department,” police said.
