Female killed in double shooting at Lowell Apartments identified
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan has released new information in the double deadly shooting which took place Sunday evening.
Columbus law enforcement and Fire/EMS officials responded to Building 4 at 4712 Milgen Road, which is the address to The Lowell Apartments, in regards to a shooting on Sunday, May 19, 2024 around 7 P.M. Two victims were located deceased.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified one of the victims as 23-year-old Kayla Jenkins. She was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds at 7:15 P.M. She was identified through a photograph and tattoos, Bryan added. Her parents were notified.
The second victim remains unidentified at this time. This remains a developing story.
