Second victim in Milgen Road double homicide identified
New details have been released in the Sunday evening double homicide which took place at an apartment complex on Milgen Road in Columbus.
Columbus law enforcement and Fire/EMS officials responded to Building 4 at 4712 Milgen Road, which is the address to The Lowell Apartments, in regards to a shooting on Sunday, May 19, 2024 around 7 P.M. Two victims were located deceased.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified one of the victims as 23-year-old Kayla Jenkins. She was pronounced dead outside of the apartment building from multiple gunshot wounds at 7:15 P.M.
The second victim was identified Monday afternoon by police. 27-year-old Deandre Jones was discovered inside one of the units suffering from a gunshot wound(s). Jones was also pronounced at 7:15 P.M.
