The investigation is taking place at Odis Spencer Stadium on Cusseta Road in the afternoon hours of Thursday, May 23, 2024.
Muscogee County Buddy Bryan says an unidentified African American male was found deceased. He was found wearing pants and one shoe, with a shirt and the other shoe lying nearby. The male is reportedly in his mid-50s, standing at 5’8”, and weighing 180 pounds. The male does have a tattoo of a broken heart with bars across it on the left side of his chest.
There is no sign of foul play but the male’s body will be sent for an autopsy to determine a cause and manner of death, according to Bryan. Bryan says that citizens are asked to call the police at 911 if they are missing someone who fits that description.
