The first armed robbery was reported at 6 P.M. on July 28, 2024, in the 700 block of Barton Street. Police say the victim stated he was in the area of Barton Street, when he was flagged down by a juvenile subject only known to him as “Big Man”.
“The victim stated a conversation took place with the juvenile concerning him wanting to buy a ski mask [the victim] had in his possession,” police added. “[The victim] stated during the conversation the juvenile struck him with a pistol to the head and took his ski mask from his persons and fled on foot.”
The second armed robbery was reported on July 29, 2024, at Oakland Trace Apartments. Police met with the victim and learned that as he was getting out of his vehicle in the parking lot, he was approached by two black males armed with a pistol and a rifle that demanded his money.
“[The victim] advised that he gave up his wallet and they fled on foot,” police said.
