Arrest made in fatal July motorcycle crash in Columbus
Columbus police Motor Squad has made an arrest in connection to a fatal July motorcycle crash along busy Victory Drive.
The crash, between a motorcycle and SUV, occurred on Victory Drive near Munson Drive on July 25, 2024.
The motorcyclist, identified as 43-year-old Juan Santiago, was pronounced dead on scene at 5:45 P.M., according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the driver of the SUV, identified as 63-year-old Kenneth Wayne Gillette was booked into the Muscogee County Jail on a failure to obey stop sign and homicide by vehicle in the 2nd degree.
