LaFayette man killed in Chambers County crash Thursday morning
A single-vehicle crash in Chambers County has claimed the life of a LaFayette man.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:17 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024, on U.S. 431 near the 177 mile marker, approximately five miles south of Roanoke.
Christopher M. Burke, 23, was fatally injured when the 2008 Toyota Corolla he was driving left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturn. Burke was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate.
