Structure fire reported in north Russell County
Several fire departments are on the scene of a structure fire Sunday afternoon.
The fire was reported on Meadowwood Drive near Terrace Drive. Crawford Volunteer Fire Department, Dixie Volunteer Fire Department, Fort Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department, Ladonia Volunteer Fire Department, Mount Olive Volunteer Fire Department, and Uchee Creek Volunteer Fire Department from Russell County are on the scene. Smiths Station Fire and Rescue, from nearby Lee County, are also on scene.
Smoke and flames were visible at the scene. An active investigation is underway into the fire. This remains a developing story.
