Man dies days after north Columbus crash
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan has released an update following a pedestrian involved collision.
The collision occurred in the afternoon hours of Monday, September 30, 2024, on Veterans Parkway near Whitesville Road. The pedestrian, who has now been identified as 62-year-old Harvey Gibson, of Smiths Station, was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional by ambulance.
On Thursday, October 3, 2024, Gibson was pronounced deceased by medical professionals, according to Bryan. The driver involved in the collision remained on scene.
