Suspect arrested in 2023 Columbus murder
The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in a 2023 murder.

The deadly shooting occurred on September 12, 2023 at Wilson Apartments. 21-year-old Javon Smith was killed in the gunfire.
Over a year later, in the early morning of October 8, 2024, the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit, along with the United States Marshal’s Services, arrested wanted fugitive Jadarious Greene.
Greene was arrested without incident and charged with Murder and Felony Possession Of A Firearm During The Commission Of A Crime.
