East Alabama chase, crash leaves one dead
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating a deadly crash at the end of a high speed chase last night.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones confirmed the Russell County Sheriff’s Office was pursuing motorcycle at speeds in excess of 100mph.
The pursuit entered Lee County and ended on Lee Road 401 when the motorcycle left road and crashed. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene, Sheriff Jones confirmed.
Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton identified the deceased motorcyclist as 24-year-old Caleb Brown of Salem.
The investigation remains ongoing.
