Man arrested in deadly crash involving two pedestrians
Columbus police have made an arrest following a deadly crash involving two pedestrians.
The hit-and-run crash involving two pedestrians occurred on September 20, 2024, around 9:26 p.m. at 5th Avenue and 20th Street. One pedestrian, Robert Norman, was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the other sustained injuries.

Following an investigation led by the department’s Motor Squad, Christopher McNeil was identified as the suspect. He was arrested on October 30, 2024, and faces charges of Homicide by Vehicle (1st Degree), Hit & Run, and additional traffic-related charges
This case remains under investigation.
